Privacy Policy

zonesix is statistical process control software for manufacturers, operated by Perceptor LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("we," "us"). This policy explains what data we handle, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to zonesix.ai and the zonesix application (together, the "Service").

zonesix is currently offered to customers in the United States only.

Your data is yours

The process, measurement, and quality data you enter into zonesix ("Customer Data") belongs to you. We make that explicit:

• We do not sell your data or share it for anyone's marketing.
• We do not use your Customer Data to train machine-learning or AI models.
• We access and process your Customer Data only to operate the Service for you — to compute control charts and generate the reports you ask for — and to provide support when you request it.
• You can export or delete your data at any time (see "Your rights" below).

What we collect

Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider collects your name, email address, and organization. We use this to identify you, secure your account, and contact you about the Service.

Customer Data. The data you enter or upload — processes, characteristics, specifications, measurements, baselines, and the reports generated from them. You decide what goes in; some of it may describe your own customers' parts or requirements.

Usage data. Basic analytics about how the application is used (pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type) so we can understand and improve the product.

Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects and stores your billing details. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.

How your data is kept separate

Each organization's Customer Data lives in its own isolated database schema. One customer's data is never commingled with another's, and access is scoped to a single organization by design. This isolation is a core part of how zonesix is built, not an optional setting.

Who processes your data (subprocessors)

We rely on a small set of vendors to run the Service. Each processes data only as needed to provide its part of it:

• Clerk — user authentication and account management
• Neon — database hosting (where your Customer Data is stored)
• Backblaze — encrypted off-site backup storage
• Fly.io — application and API hosting
• Vercel — website and frontend hosting
• PostHog — product usage analytics
• Sentry — error and crash diagnostics
• Stripe — payment processing (paid plans only)

We update this list when our subprocessors change.

How long we keep your data

• While your account is active, we retain your Customer Data and do not delete it on our own. If you cancel a paid plan or reduce your subscription, affected data is set to read-only ("frozen") rather than deleted, so you never lose your history.
• When you ask us to delete your data, or close your account, we delete your Customer Data from our active systems within 30 days. Copies in routine backups age out on their own cycle, within 90 days.
• We may retain a limited amount of information longer where we are legally required to (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).

Your rights

At any time, you can:

• Access and export your data from within the application.
• Correct your account information through your account settings.
• Delete your data or close your account in-app, or by emailing us at support@zonesix.ai.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA — including the right to know what we collect, the right to delete, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email support@zonesix.ai.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited to what's needed to operate the Service. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for isolation and least access, and we build on established infrastructure providers (listed above) rather than rolling our own.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in (set by our authentication provider) and cookies that support product analytics. We do not use advertising cookies. Because zonesix is offered only in the United States and runs no ad tracking, we do not present a cookie-consent banner; you can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

zonesix is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. When we make a material change, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email.
